    Shawn isn't just a co-owner at Total Athletics – he's also proudly serving as an active duty Police Officer!

    A few words from Shawn “"Fitness has been a big part of my life since I was a kid. I grew up playing rep hockey and baseball and was constantly training.

    Now in my adult years, I train not only for my profession as a police officer but I am also competitive in CrossFit. 

    The one thing that has stayed consistent has always been my passion for fitness. To have the opportunity to open a facility completely geared towards making people the best version of themselves is a dream come true. 

    Coaching people to move better, become fit for life while encouraging them to achieve their goals is something that I take pride in, and I can't wait to see you guys in our new facility!"

  • Caitlin Jerome

    Caitlin, a 2018 graduate of Humber College's Massage Therapy program, has since founded her own company, become a massage therapy professor, and continues to provide exceptional care to her patients. Always expanding her expertise, she regularly attends courses to stay at the forefront of her field.

    Looking for deep pressure? Look no further. Caitlin's approach to treatment is therapeutic, assessment based and ensures your goals are the center of attention!

    "I have a passion to help people, and you will often find me mulling around the gym giving (unsolicited) advice to people to help them move better.

    I love what I do, and I thoroughly enjoy watching people flourish in life. I want nothing more than for people to feel good every day, and be able to participate in their everyday activities."

    “Now in my 7th year of coaching, it is one of the things I care about most. Coaching has never felt like a job, and instead something I’m “supposed to do.” I gain a lot of satisfaction helping others progress in fitness, even if it’s as simple as a movement feeling better or hitting 5lbs more on a lift. On top of that, I love getting to know others and seeing them day to day makes me look forward to coaching classes even more.”

    Casey is here to support others on their fitness journey. With a deep passion for movement and strength training, Casey is dedicated to creating safe, effective workouts that help people feel empowered and energized.

    “I’ve been doing CrossFit since 2018 but after having each of my children I felt so far from myself physically and mentally. I knew that being consistent and disciplined with my nutrition and fitness would help me find my way back to myself, and it did! Taking time for myself to move my body in the gym makes me the best version of myself for my kids and my family. I’m looking forward to meeting members on similar fitness and lifestyle journeys while coaching at Total Athletics!”

    With 1.5 years of coaching experience and a love of Olympic lifting, you will not be disappointed to find Coach Jer on the schedule! Jer is known to participate in various sports of his own. When he’s not int he gym you can find him playing volleyball, slo-pitch and even hockey. Whether you are new the gym or a seasoned athlete, he is there to offer a helping hand with all your movement goals.

    Here are a few words from Jer:

    “The clean & jerk and snatch are some of my favorite lifts! It’s always great to be able to slow down the movements and fine tune members form to help them maximize their potential.”
